Or when the governments of Mexico, Brazil, Dominican Republic or Costa Rica wanted to create a simpler and more sustainable travel experience for commuters, Visa helped them implement customized solutions points for contactless digital payments. And when the Japanese government wanted to promote tourism while pursuing ambitious cashless payment goals, Visa provided support through a series of digital payment initiatives for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which included efforts to increase digital payment acceptance for visitors and providing enhanced data insights on tourist spending to assist Japanese merchants.
